Denver Art Museum

I was recently in Denver and got to visit their art museum designed by one of my favorite architects Daniel Libeskind. I think like good art good architecture should evoke a feeling from those experiencing it. Well done Libeskind.

Denailing Wood at A Train Depot

I have been working for my old roommate Kyle's construction company Footprint Construction (www.stepoffthegrid.com) doing some construction and denailing wood from an old building that they tore down. They hope to reclaim the wood for use in future homes as they have done in the past. The lumber is located in northeast Topeka, Kansas, but the site is really interesting as it used to be a railroad station. Here are just some of the pictures I took while working out there for the last couple of weeks.

3716 Springfield Winter

I was driving through Kansas City and decided to drop by the 804 house as it just snowed yesterday. Check out the video for the turbine spinning like a madman. If it was only nighttime these would look exactly like Frank's renderings.

New Etsy home page

I decided to create an Etsy account for my thriving card wallet business after being introduced to the site by my brother. For those that aren't aware, Etsy is a website devoted to the selling and buying of handmade and vintage goods.

You can still do business with me, card wallet wise, through direct contact, but you can also now just purchase through my Etsy site (www.cardwallet.etsy.com). I now have some wallets that are up exclusively on Etsy and some that I plan on having onhand for door to door selling purposes.

Joshua Bender is now the proud owner of a lucrative wallet business

I just started making wallets out of uno cards, old vintage baseball cards, and playing cards. I thought that I might be able to sell these after I made myself an uno card wallet and people made a comment every time I took it out.

Not only are these wallets great conversation starters, but they are also slim (as thin as nine cards), sturdy, and each is one-of-a-kind.
Custom wallets can also be made upon request for an additional cost and are only limited by your creativity and cards that you have or that can be obtained. What a great gift for the holidays... Anywho, enough of a sales pitch, if you have read this far you are interested and should give me a call (314.808.8092) or shoot me an email (jb@joshuabender.net). You, my friend, can have a sweet wallet that will make your friends think that you are actually cool and hip (has worked for me) for only ten bucks.
